My kids love LEGOS! My oldest children, the boys, can construct and rebuild new sets all day if I let them. My daughter isn't as good as the boys yet, she's only four years old, but she loves LEGOS also.
My children were really excited that we were visiting LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta. They've been there before, and everytime it's fun and exciting. When you first enter LEGOLAND Discovery Center, there is a guide to tell you how LEGOS are made. After the short tour, you go to an interactive ride for the entire family. The ride is lots of fun and the kids get a little competitive as to who has the highest score.
Next is the room filled with LEGO structures of the entire city of Atlanta. It's really cool to look at, and see all the time, patience, and effort that went into putting together each unique piece. The kids like to marvel at the structures, but we don't stay in that area long, because it's more fun to be had!
The main room of LEGOLAND Discovery Center is filled with a mini cafeteria, a play area for the younger master builders, another ride, a girls area, a place to construct and build cars for racing, and a playground type structure. The kids can spend hours there building and racing their cars. The one part I really liked about the LEGOLAND Discovery Center cafe was that there were really affordable food options.
Lastly we took a look at the LEGO 4D movie. It's really exciting for the kids because they wear 3D glasses, which make them feel like they are really in the movie. There is an added level of excitement, with the 4D elements that you can really feel. Depending on the movie you could feel wind, rain, or snow. It's pretty cool!
When your kids are all done being master builders for the day, you can head into the gift shop to exit. There is a cool array of different LEGO sets, and you can even purchase LEGOS by the pound!
Overall, we love LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta and my kids can't wait to go back!
